Over the last few months, we’ve all had a lot of unexpected change. When times are uncertain, it’s easy for our plans to go awry. We’ve all had some financial upset whether it’s being furloughed or made redundant, the house purchase has fallen through or that the summer holiday has been cancelled and you are fighting for a refund.

Speaking to family, friends and clients, there are a number of different curve balls that have been thrown at everyone over the last few weeks. This prompted us to put together a new guide to remind people they are not alone and there are steps to take that can really make a difference. Subjects covered include:

  • Having a financial safety net
  • Controlling your spending
  • Watching out for scams
  • Taking care of your mental health
  • Not losing sight of your long-term goals.

The important thing to do is not bury your head in the sand. Take stock of your plans and current position, decide what’s important to you and when in doubt, get some advice. Remember that the longer you put it off, the worse the problem can get.
