Investment Operations Manager

We are looking for an experienced operations manager to join our operations and client servicing team.

Role purpose:

  • Reporting to the Head of Investment, the Investment Operations Manager will be a key part of the Positive Impact Investing team. With essential interactions with a multitude of third parties (Platforms/IFA’s) as well as internally, the role will suit an individual who has strong communication skills and a natural affinity with numbers.
  • A core function of the role will involve the refining, improving and documenting of all operational practices and processes within the impact investing area. The chosen candidate will own these operational practices and it will be their responsibility to ensure that the impact investing team (e.g Portfolio Manager, Impact Specialist, Business Development Managers) adhere to them.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and maintaining good working practice within the operations team
  • Accurately updating our internal CRM database – FileMaker
  • Liaising with other operations staff to onboard portfolios and new funds on platforms
  • Answering daily requests from advisers in a timely manner
  • Responding to queries on fees, platforms, performance
  • Sending latest DDQs, factsheets or commentaries to relevant parties
  • Mapping enquiries
  • Support FE Transmission licences management
  • Organise Zoom meeting invitations, follow ups
  • Support for Business Development Managers: Organise Zoom meetings, follow ups afterwards, provide documents/commentaries when needed
  • New client onboarding: Sending agreements & confirming when access granted, welcome emails for new IFAs
  • Preparing presentation documents and working closely with Distribution and the Fund Manager, whilst ensuring all content is approved by Compliance
  • Monitoring and reporting flows, setting up and maintaining client fee rebates where applicable

Knowledge and experience:

  • Circa 4 years’ investment operations/client services experience gained within the wealth management/asset management industries
  • Relevant experience of working with and servicing financial advisers and platforms
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Good Microsoft excel skills
  • Numerate with a strong attention to detail
  • Good organisation and planning skills – able to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong personality able to lead operational aspects within the team.
