Sarasin Food and Agricultural Opportunities
A thematic fund that invests in companies globally which generates most of their revenues from sustainable food and agricultural themes.
The fund will invest in the theme of food & agriculture, one of the most compelling identified theme given the need for sustainability in a global context, as famine and droughts continue in parts of the world. The fund will screen out companies that are involved in controversial activities whilst selecting those that look to contribute to society. We like the fund because of its strong ESG integration, and performance has been good versus peers, especially concerning the volatility of returns.
