Role

This is a great opportunity to join an established Investment Operations team and to be an integral member of EQ’s Investment Management Support areas. The Investment Operations Administrator role is key to the success of the team and will report to the Head of Investment Administration.

With essential interactions with a multitude of third parties (IFA’s/Private Clients/Fund Managers/Platforms) as well as internal team members and stakeholders, the role will suit an organised, motivated individual who enjoys responsibility, is thorough with detail, with a good work ethic and strong communication skills.

How you’ll add value

  • Responsible for one of the Investment Operations support pooled mailbox, providing prompt response to IFA requests and enquires, sourcing EQ materials and collating answers from the wider Investment team if necessary, responding in an effective, timely and polite manner
  • Responsible for new client onboarding administration, including the timely preparation and processing of paperwork for new clients taking responsibility for IFA/client documentation; Agreements, Terms of Business, transfer forms, liaising with third parties, both internal & external to provide the client with a professional and prompt onboarding experience
  • Responsible for the onboarding of new funds on our platforms, working with the Investment team, multiple platforms & fund managers to attain timely completion, including the management of internal records
  • To undertake and assist with our quarterly rebalance, updating our model portfolio asset allocations on a multitude of platforms
  • Responsibility for the timely processing of end of month AUM fee reconciliation, including attaining & processing platform reporting, reconciliation and reporting findings to internal parties
  • Monitoring and internal reporting of IFA client AUM flows, setting up and maintaining client fee rates where applicable
  • Attending regular periodic platform service reviews together with the Head of Investment Operations to monitor, improve and enhance the service received by EQ and our clients, working collaboratively to build strong relationships with our multitude of platforms
  • Build and develop a good relationship and knowledge of each of our platforms; including how they are structured and how they operate
  • Responsible for the receipt, completion and timely return of received Due Diligence questionnaires, forwarding requests to the required internal contacts, coordinating and collating responses, prior your prompt return to the requestor
  • Documentation and ongoing review and update of Operational procedures in the required standardised format
  • To suggest, initiate, enhance and strengthen operational practices including working on projects to improve efficiency and our service provision for our clients
  • To cover and assist with colleagues’ workload when required
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities and tasks as assigned by your line manager

What you’ll need to be successful in this role

  • Minimum 3+ years Investment Operations experience gained within Wealth Management/Asset Management
  • Relevant experience of working with and servicing Financial Advisers and platforms
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, ability to work to tight deadlines
  • A keen, proactive, positive, motivated individual with a ‘can do‘ attitude
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and to take on responsibility, keeping all required parties and your line manager updated with your progress
  • Ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver good outcomes for the team and the business
  • Excellent relationship skills to deliver an outstanding customer experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, effective, timely, thorough and always polite
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills, numerate

Salary & Benefits

Salary: Up to £40k Depending on experience + bonus

Start date: ASAP

The role is a full-time position, based at least three days a week working from our office near Monument in London, with the salary + discretionary bonus based on performance.
