What’s a B Corp?

B Corps are for-profit companies that have committed to use their business as a force for good. To qualify, they must meet high standards for social and environmental impact; make a legal commitment to be accountable to all stakeholders (like workers, customers, and the planet) not just shareholders; and demonstrate transparency by sharing information publicly.

EQ Investors was proud to become a founding UK B Corporation in 2015. Since then, we’re thrilled to see how fast the movement has grown.

What is B Corp month?

B Corp Month is an annual, global campaign designed to increase awareness about B Corps and how they’re different from other businesses. Every year during March, the global community of over 8,000 B Corps come together to celebrate everything it means to be a B Corp.

This year’s campaign is ‘This Way Forward’, aiming to showcase to the world how we move forward, together.

How can I get involved?

Everyone can take action to help make business a force for good.

You can find firms you can buy from, and do business with, that you know have been independently vetted for their sustainability, by searching the B Corp directory.

Leaders at companies can take the B Impact Assessment for free to see how your business compares, and start the journey to becoming a B Corp.

And if you use social media, search #BCorpMonth to find and share stories about responsible, sustainable businesses and inspire others to join in.

B-Fest

This year, EQ Investors is hosting B-Fest on Wednesday 27 March – a unique opportunity for business leaders, disruptors, and change-makers to come together in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
